Football: Reuland withdraws from Notre Dame

    Tight end Konrad Reuland has withdrawn from Notre Dame, Irish head coach Charlie Weis announced in a statement Monday.

Physical practices continue for Irish this week

    After improving in the running game Saturday against Michigan State, Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis has decided to stay with the formula that brought that improvement – up to a certain point.

    Last week, the Irish spent three practices just hitting each other, including on Sunday, a day usually reserved for weight lifting and film study. This week, Notre Dame again practiced on Sunday and spent the first hour of Tuesday blocking and tackling.

Weis didn’t keep promise to Notre Dame family

    Sept. 24, 2007, The State News: Notre Dame football head coach Charlie Weis broke a sacred promise to his football team and fans by losing to MSU 31-14 on Saturday. In the summer of 2006, Weis told the Notre Dame faithful that they would never have to worry about losing to the Spartans again.
    Well, Charlie, have you ever heard of the phrase, “Liar, liar, pants on fire?”
