10 – Anthony Morelli – JoePa didn’t trust him to throw the ball downfield, and Morelli is still making bad decisions as a senior quarterback.

9 – Uncalled penalties – I counted at least five no calls that should’ve been called against Ohio State. Despite playing in Happy Valley, they must have brought the refs in from Columbus.

8 – OSU’s defense = porous. Penn State seemed to run at will against Ohio State until they had to abandon the running game. Probably could’ve have put up over 200 on Ohio State’s questionable D.

7- Brent Musburger – If Musburger claims Ohio State is number 1 then they are probably not. He did that last year in the Ohio State Michigan game and then the following week claimed USC was number 1.

6 – Penn State – Today Penn State is just another unranked team that Ohio State beat – big deal.

5 – Injuries – Penn State was missing at least three on defense and at least one on offense.

4 – Turnovers – Penn State had to play perfect to have a shot and they turned it over twice.

3 – Illinois – The Fighting Illini beat Penn State 27-20.

2 – Indiana – Even lowly Indiana almost beat Penn State last week.

1 – Michigan – Michigan beat Penn State with their second string quarterback playing the entire game and complete reliance on the running game. Let’s see Ohio State do that. And Michigan only allowed 101 yards rushing in that game.

I will have to break down and say that OSU’s offensive line did a great job protecting Boeckman and I think that was the key to the game. To beat Ohio State, you have to pressure Boeckman. If they are going to let him wait for the deep route to open up then the opposing team has to make him pay and make him pay dearly. Give him something to think about the next time he waits a few seconds for the receiver to get open way downfield.
