The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that the top QB prospect in the nation is visiting OSU this weekend, and will be taking in the game against the Wisconsin Badgers. Terrelle Pryor, a high school senior from Jeannette, Pennsylvania will be looking over the campus to see if he fits in.
The thing about him is that he is 6’6 and weighs 235. With 4.3 speed, many are comparing him to the next Vince Young. Those who have seen him play say that he has an amazing fluidity of movement and that he has an arm sufficient to throw a ball 60 to 70 yards in the air. If OSU replaces Todd Boeckman in 2009 with a Todd Boeckman who can run, the Big Ten is going to be in the running for the national championship for the next 4-5 years.
He is also interested in playing college basketball, and Thad Matta, the OSU basketball coach, is working with Jim Tressel on this one towards what could be their mutual advantage.
It may aid Mr. Pryor in his decision to know that last year OSU competed for the National Championship in both basketball and football and shows signs of making this a fairly consistent pattern. Another plus is that OSU is only 3.5 hours from his hometown (though PSU is closer).
But one of the most important things for him to know is that Todd Boeckman will be graduating after the end of next season and at that point, the QB competition will be wide open.
Also in the running are PSU, Tennessee, West Virginia, Texas, and Florida.

Two turnovers at home and Penn State only scores 17 points? And then they say “We’re back!”?
It will take more than a video of a game from 2005 to beat OSU this year. Though, after we beat Penn State, you can still watch your video and imagine what might have been, if it makes you feel better.
