Chris Spielman proved he not only knows little about baseball, basketball and hockey but he apparently doesn’t know much about college football. Spielman claimed that Henne hadn’t improved much from his freshman to senior year and stated that Henne had been “a little hurt” this season.
Let’s see – Henne was hurt and left the game against Oregon. He didn’t play against Penn State and Notre Dame. He played hurt in the Illinois game. He did not play against Minnesota. He played hurt against Michigan State and led Michigan to an incredible victory. He did not play against Wisconsin and he played injured against Ohio State. Henne either didn’t play or played injured in eight games this year.
Spielman’s comments were not only unfair but completely based on ignorance. Get your facts straight Chris before you put your Ohio State bias in your mouth. I guess Henne could’ve gone pro near the second round after his freshman year, huh?
