If you own Warner Cable, you can’t see a great many Big Ten athletic events. If you are a fan of college basketball, or wanted to see the OSU v. YSU football game last year, or the OSU v. Akron game last year, and if you didn’t have a friend with a cable system that carried the game, you were out of luck. Or were you?
Your only choice at that point would have been to go to a bar to see the game. Since most bars are zoned out of residential neighborhoods, chances are that you had to drive there. And if you drove to the bar, you very likely drove back. And while you were at the bar, you very likely consumed certain intoxicating beverages. With the feelings of euphoria and well-being that commonly come from consuming alcohol, many persons likely made the decision to drive home in a condition in which they should not.
The Big Ten Network will doubtless scoff at such reasoning. Surely it is not their fault if people get drunk and drive. But anyone who doubts that drinking and OSU football don’t go together is living in a fantasy world. Anyone who thinks that drinking and driving is no big deal is living in a fantasy world. Anyone who can’t put two and two together to get four works for the Big Ten Network.

Two turnovers at home and Penn State only scores 17 points? And then they say “We’re back!”?
It will take more than a video of a game from 2005 to beat OSU this year. Though, after we beat Penn State, you can still watch your video and imagine what might have been, if it makes you feel better.
