For weeks, Rich Rodriguez and his coaching staff weren’t quite sure whether they were going to redshirt freshman tight end Kevin Koger or play him.

Behind 19-0 to No. 9-ranked Wisconsin, the senior defensive tackle challenged his teammates – and especially the University of Michigan offensive line – to show something more when the second half began.
It was a high-volume, high-risk move that worked, as the Wolverines rallied for the largest comeback in the history of Michigan Stadium, pulling out a 27-25 victory that some teammates credited, in part, to Taylor’s emotion.
