Sitting in the fifth row at Michigan stadium has its advantages and disadvantages. A perceived disadvantage is that I’m in no hurry to leave the stadium at the end of the game. I’ll end up just waiting in line on the stairs. So I hang out for 20 to 30 minutes after most games, and I was more than happy to do this following a season opening win after what I thought would be a close game.

I watched as the football team ran over to the student section and sang the Victors. Shortly thereafter I caught a glimpse of someone moving across the football field at a decent clip. It was Tate Forcier. He was behind another player heading to the tunnel but was making up ground quickly. Right before he was about to leave the field, I saw him throw down his towel in disgust and then he threw what appeared to be his mouthpiece on the field as well. He caught the other player and was the first one in the tunnel.

I assume this occurred right after his comment to the Ann Arbor News that he was “out”.

I think Forcier would be an idiot to transfer now (and so does his father) as Robinson frustrated Connecticut’s defense so much that they were eager to get a good lick on him. I’m sure other teams will get just as angry after whiffing on him for three quarters or so. Forcier needs to be ready to go and quit being a prima donna. He’ll get his chance and it may be sooner rather than later. Gardner may be talented but I imagine he’s miles behind Forcier in terms of knowing the playbook.
