Apparently, Alex Boone didn’t like some USC fan heckling him about the Buckeye’s abysmal record against non-Big Ten teams. Boone went into a drunken rampage at an Orange County, California apartment complex, yelling and jumping on cars. “When police arrived, the 6-foot-8, 312-pound tackle had been jumping on car hoods, yanking on a tow truck cable and trying to break a window, said sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino. Boone ran away from deputies and was found hiding underneath a patio, authorities said. Boone was combative and uncooperative and had to be taken down with a stun gun, Amormino said.”

His blood alcohol level was at least 0.24. He also had to be tasered several times so that the police could even book him at the station.

Now I wonder, how many beers does a 312 lb. guy have to drink to get to 0.24. Let’s find out, shall we?

Well, thanks to this site, I discovered that a 300 lb. man could drink 9 beers in one hour and still have a blood alcohol level of 0.1039. So we’re not even halfway to the 0.24 mark. Ok, I’m not finding the technology to calculate how many beers Boone had to have consumed in order to reach 0.24. I’m going to guess more than 20 in a two hour period and that’s 20 twelve ouncers.

This just in – according to 97.1thefan – Alex must have consumed at least 28 beers in a six hour period to get to 0.24. Prior to his 2006 DUI arrest, Alex admitted to consuming 40 beers at a time. Spielman predicts that Alex will drop two rounds in the NFL draft from 4th or 5th round to 6th or out of the draft entirely.

Maybe he was celebrating the close game against Texas? Who knows?
